WIfi Network and Password for Internet access are provided after check-in or posted inside the apartment.
Guests are charged electricity consumed by air conditioners at $0.25 /kWh. Charge up to $ 3 per day depends on usage. Payment prior to checkout will be deducted from security deposit.
Surcharge for propane cooking gas is $10 per month.
Bag up all kitchen waste in non-leaking trash bags before placing your kitchen waste into the trash cans in our parking lot. If you're using plastic shopping bags for your kitchen waste, make sure the shopping bags are completely closed, don't leak fluids and are securely tied on top so that no kitchen waste and food items fall out. No partially open or leaking bags please. It's best to purchase 13 gallon waste bags for proper disposal of your kitchen waste. We prefer not to supply the fly or mosquito larvae population with a gourmet buffet.
Water bottles for drinking and cooking (5-gallon) can be requested for delivery from "El Furgon" mini market located on the main road across from the arch entrance to our Playa Encuentro Community.
Waverider Apartments promotes a healthy tobacco and smoke-free environment, but if you absolutely need to have a cigarette or cigar, please smoke ONLY in our outdoor gazebo (not the BBQ area) adjacent to the pool. When finished smoking, clean ashtrays and wrap cigarette butts and ashes in aluminum foil before disposing in trash cans. Please remember to clean ashtrays to prevent ashes from getting carried onto the furniture by the wind.
Turn off lights, fans and air conditioner when out of the apartment for more than one hour
Program your own electronic unlock code into the security safe. Notify the manager if the batteries operating the electronic lock to be replaced.
Wipe grease and fat from frying pans with paper towels before washing them in the sink to keep our drains unclogged
Guests are responsible for cleaning of BBQ grills after and grills have cooled down (removal of charcoal ashes and/or any grease or other residue remaining on the grill)
Do not scratch stove tops or use abrasive cleaners.
Close gates whenever entering or leaving our property
Wash off beach sand at outdoor shower before entering pool or apartment
Pool is closed during months of December, January and February

Keep floors and counters clean of small food particles to keep away ants. Don't forget you are in a tropical climate which supports rapid growth of ant populations as well as other insects or cockroaches.
Mops are hanging by the laundry area. Please hang them up again when finished with use so that they can dry out. Broom, dust pan and bucket are in the apartment.
Tenants must provide their own cleaning supplies, insect and bug spray.
Please advise the manager of any slow running or blocked drains.
If you are not familiar with our type of washing machine, ask the manager for help
UNPLUG OUR WASHIMG MACHINES WHEN YOU FINISH YOUR WASH. The pump draining the waste water will burn out if it remains on all day if the machine is not unplugged. Rinse the bottom of the wash tub after the water has drained out to clean any remaining dirt. Do not overload washing machines.
Use clothes pins when hanging washed clothes on the drying lines or the wind will blow them off the lines.
Items left on the clothes drying lines for more than two days will be taken down by the manager to allow other guests to use the lines
Maid service is available at additional cost (price determined by requirements)
